| | Hey guys, I know it has been awhile since I have been on xanga and posted any updates. But we have been busy lately. But the important thing is that our youngest daughter got married. We headed to New Bruanfels, Texas to the Firefly Inn for the wedding. On Friday Aug 14th we drove down and took our RV, along with my mom. They decided on a very small wedding with only their parents, brother and sister. So we arrived on Friday afternoon we met up with them after they floated the river all day and had dinner. Saturday Billie and Justin floated the river again. By 4:00 pm we began to wonder if the guys were going to get back in time for the wedding. They decided to go around for a second time while on the river. Boys!!! they love to play. Anyway they returned sunburned and ready for the wedding. We got them married and headed off to the Gristmill for dinner. So it was a great day and the wedding was simple and very pretty. So I will post a slide show of the pics for everyone to see. I have to say I have two beautiful grown daughters. Wouldn't take for either one of them. Check out the pics. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Enjoy some family time.

| Hey guys, all is well here. The work continues on the kitchen. We did get the dishwasher replaced and a new sink and faucet in over the weekend. The plans today are to finish the painting so I can replace the blind in the kitchen window, and the range hood is ordered. It will be here Tues. So all we will like is the flooring. I am so ready to have this little project done and behind us. It has taken alot longer than we expected but it is all worth it. Can't wait to share some pics with you when we finish. Then we are going to take a break from remodeling till next year. But the stuff left is mainly flooring and painting. That won't be so bad. Well I better run I have some errans that need to be done and some work too. So off I go and yall have a wonderful day. Take care!!! | | |
| I can't believe how long it has been since I have posted. Well I am still alive and doing well. Just been so busy. We have remodeled both bathrooms and nearly finished with the kitchen. I am so ready to be done with it so I can take a much needed break. I will have to post some pics soon. I just want to wait till I get in the new appliances before I let anyone see it. How is everyone doing?? Hope all is well and you are having a wonderful week. Won't be long till the temps will cool off and we will be thinking about the holidays. Nearly time for pumpkins and that wonderful dinner in a pumpkin. Yummmm!! Well I am going to close and do something here but I'll be back soon with pics and another update. Enjoy your week!! | | |
| Well how is everyone today?? All is well here. I spent last week remodeling our hall bathroom and you will see from the pixs we actually went all the way back to a empty room and started over. It was in need of new flooring, painting, and fixtures. So we talked and decided to start over completely.  
 
We emptied the bathroom on Sunday before Billie left for a work related trip for the week. So my plans were to texture, paint and replace the flooring while he was gone. Well to be honest it all took longer than expected. So I did get the walls textured and painted before Billie returned home. But I was glad to see him return about the time I started the wood flooring. So he did most of it but I think I can do the next room we decide to redo. But his help is always appreciated.  
We also replaced all the fixtures in the bathroom. We used brushed nickle.  
  
I have to say I am so proud of the way it turned out and can't wait to start the next room. The discussion is between our master bath or the kitchen. I'll keep you posted on what we decide to do and make before and after pixs to share with everyone. Well I think I am going to head off to get some sleep. I may need it for the next big project we tackel here. But I have to say remodeling a room or working in the yard is a great way to make the time fly and make you appreciate a hard days work. I was spending lots of time in my flowerbeds but they are up and growing these days so now I water and pull the weeds so it was time for a new way to spend my time. So now you have it I am working on cleaning and redoing the house one room at a time. Have a good week and I am off to take a nap. I'll try to stop by and see you guys soon. | | |
|  Hey guys. I hope everyone is doing well. Seems like time flies these days. I stay busy but had to take a minute to wish my oldest daughter a happy birthday. I can't believe another year has gone by and it is harder to believe she is 23 today. Oh my, I must be getting old. I must have been a very young new mommy. In fact she is the age I was when she was born. I can still remember how wonderful she felt in my arms when they handed her to me for the first time. She was crying and I took her and she stopped as if she knew she was safe. She has brought so much joy to our lives thru the years. So as I look back on the last 23 years watching her grow up into the woman she has become I can say I am very proud of her and she has been such a blessing to her dad and I. So I am going to close by saying, Happy Birthday Tash and I hope you have many more wonderful birthdays in the years to come. We love you, Mom and Dad. Well that is about all around here. Just the same old thing of work and errans. All is well here. Beginning to get hot these days here. The pool is nice to have to cool off in. But I am thankful the storms have gone around us. Well it is time for some much needed sleep. I didn't do alot today but I am tired. So I will close for now and hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow. | | |
